Commissioner Judy C. Mintz


Ms. Mintz is currently the Executive Director of Dundas Community Services where she has gathered a depth of experience working in legislative and regulatory processes, policies and compliance. She has served on several corporate, charitable and community organization boards, including the Government of Canada’s National Council of Welfare. Ms. Mintz has also had extensive experience in policy advisory committee work in health and community services, through her membership in the Ministry of Health and Long Term Mental Health and Addiction Strategy Summit, and the Community Coalition of Health and Support Services, among other organizations. A trained social services worker by trade, Ms. Mintz originally began her career in the Department of Social Services in the Regional Municipality of Hamilton-Wentworth.

Her involvement in community organizations has allowed her to develop an acute awareness of issues of equity, access and culture. This work includes acting as chair of the Task Force on Multicultural and Anti-Racist Organizational Development for the United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton.

Her dedication to her community has garnered her the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal. Ms. Mintz is also a recipient of the Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow Award for contributions in service to her community and country.
